Wow I’m Excited! A few weeks ago I invested in a new camera. I do video editing, web sites, and graphic design and this camera has really helped alot! It’s an AG-DVC20 Professional Panasonic camcorder. We took a trip to Natchez, MS to shoot river boats, barges, old homes and the confederate cemetery a couple of weeks ago. This thing ROCKS! It has over 500 lines of resolution and hooks up via fire-wire to my computer. No tape - No resolution loss! Recently we have been working on several projects. The Natchez footage is for a stock footage firm and we will be sending that off soon. We have also been working with a local Mexican restaurant’s web materials and other web sites. This weekend (Memorial day) we will be taking the camera on location again to shoot footage for an upcomming DVD that will be released this summer/fall. It’s been exciting and we have been very busy. Plus through all of this there is our regular work, traveling, learning/training to ride the bike and video projects. But hey, it’s making money so why gripe. I’m finally doing alot of the things I’ve always wanted to do. It’s fun. Plus I’ve been riding my Goldwing some, but not as much as last year. Seems there is little time these days to just cut out and ride. Every time I turn around there is a new project, or the completion of an old project. I can hear and feel the bike screaming for me to get away. Perhaps when we get back from Oklahoma I will hit the road and go somewhere.
But in the meantime, this camera has brought in lots of opportunities and jobs, and it’s been fun working with it. I have built up quite an arsenal of equipment. I have the AG-DVC20 and my S-VHS quality portable digital camera/camcorder. The HI 8 Camcorder, and tons of audio equipment. One of my computers is now completely configured to edit video and I’ve added firewire and a hard drive. I has now have a “Green Screen” for doing superimposing (like a weatherman) and more stock footage too. Plus a major distribution company is interested in one of my DVD’s. Which reminds me, I gotta call that guy! LOL
Anyway… no more slacking, I have too much to do. Later, when I can sit for a few, I’ll blog some more.
