At long last I got my C-Pap machine. This is a gadget that sits on the end table by the bed and I breathe with it when I sleep. It's pretty cool for the most part but took some getting used to. The doctors surmised that I am not entering R.E.M. sleep. There are four levels of sleep, stage 1, 2, 3 & 4. I was only entering stage one. Sleep Apnea. Without REM sleep the body begins to break down. Nerves are hashed and you feel exhausted, fatigued and depressed. Your body will manifest problems in many different ways. For me, the nerves in my legs were hurting and the muscles were aching. It was spreading throughout my system.

The Doc's know this is the problem, but not the cause. There is a complicated way of explaining what was/is going on, but suffice it to say it was/is wearing me out. The machine has a computer in it and the Docs can monitor my sleeping. It forces the airways open so I can pass from stage one to four without waking up. My legs still hurt and I don't know what damage was done or what may be permanent, but the machine helps. I've been using the unit this week and it seems to be working but there are some weird side affects to it, more later on that...
We got our Gazebo put up in the back yard! It wasn't as hard as we thought and went together pretty smoothly. I think Edith still has a curtain to hang but it looks nice. We are looking for some furniture to put in it and stuff we already have to recycle into gazebo stuff. I gotta build a floor for it but we put it up to see what it looks like and how big it is.
It should make entertaining in the backyard more fun and it's a place to escape and relax for us. We spent last weekend mowing grass, trimming shrubs and tackling the Gazebo project. Now that cooler weather is predicted for next week, this will be a great addition to the house. Ginger thinks it's her new playhouse! But for her, any chance to sit in the backyard with daddy is good.
I also got my new DVD sent off this week to be published. More on that later too. It's friday and I'm outta here! ;-)
