Last night Michael and I drove down to Paul B. Johnson Park to watch
the 4th of July fireworks. The weather was great. There had been
thunderstorms in the afternoons this week. There was a chance it would
rain but fortunately it didn't. Friday night was cool (mid eighties). Plus
there was a breeze from the lake. It was so nice.We sat near a pavilion
where some guys were grilling while some of their friends had a couple
of guitars and were singing. There were some college guys behind us,
soldiers from Camp Shelby, and many families. This section of the park
was by the lake, just across from the fireworks launching pad. We
had brought our food and Michael and I had a little picnic. Once it got
dark, one could see the crescent moon in the sky. There were lots also
lots of stars. A few minutes later the fireworks show started and it was
great. I took some pictures and recorded the end. We had fun.
