Four Days, Four States

Back from our Christmas vacation to Fort Smith! We left Mississippi, traveled through Louisiana into Arkansas and while there we jumped into Oklahoma to see some sights and get lottery tickets.

We made the trek up Mt. Magazine where I got to shoot some footage and we all enjoyed the view. I ate Salvadorian food which I think I'm hooked on now. Love those Pupusas!

A pupusa is like a pancake with meat inside and something like cole slaw on top. Yeah, sounds disgusting but it is really very good. :-D You can get pork or chicken. Nice and greasy, they will stick to you.

While there we went out to see Christmas lights and found a house they sync to music. The video is in the previous blog. It was even better to see live. I think Edith left her heart there, she loved it!

We went shopping and went to the Fort (Smith) where the "Hanging Judge" made a name for himself. It was good to see all the sights. So we just hung around for a while.

But the best part of the whole vacation was our host, Brenda. She fed us good. We had a big breakfast every morning. Way better than any Bed & Breakfast could offer. We invaded her home and she put up with us. We brought all our toys and played on the net together, plus she took us to see all the sights. Brenda made the whole vacation fun!

We also experienced every kind of weather possible, except snow. There was rain, wind, cold, hot, humid and a twinge of altitude ear popping. You can't get that on just any ole vacation now can you?

I forgot fog.

Edith drove most of the way which I was glad for. I appreciated that part. She was glowing the whole time. She really enjoyed getting out and traveling. Seeing her have fun made it even more fun for me. She is special like that.

But we are back home now. We are spending a week just hanging around and next week it will be back to the old grind. Trying to figure out what we will do for new years. ;-)

See ya there!

:-D

I'm glad you guys had fun. I worry about people coming out here because I'm afraid they'll be bored out of their minds, like I usually am. :P I guess 4 days is the right amount of time...
