First pictures of our trip.

Greetings from Querétaro, México.

We traveled for almost 17 hours -- from the time we left home to go to the airport in New Orleans to the time we got to Edith's parent's home in Querétaro. Needless to say we were beat.

We are having a good time so far. We've been pretty busy. The weather has been cool. It is the rainy season here so it has not been hot. Maybe in the 50's. It is funny to see people wearing jackets or sweaters and we are on short sleeves.

We went to the town of San Miguel Allende in the state of Guanajuato and also the town of Dolores Hidalgo in the same state. Dolores is the craddle of the Independence movement in México. At the crack of dawn on September 16th, 1810, the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla rang the church bells, gathered the townspeople and asked them to turn agains the Spanish rule. That is how the independence movement started.

Dolores Hidalgo Church
Dolores Hidalgo is famous for the handmade ice cream and sheberts. Here Omar and Michael are enjoying lime shebert and chocolate icecream. When in Dolores, do as the Doloreans do...

Here are some snapshot of San Miguel de Allende.

With Itzel and Omar.

Hasta la vista y'all!
